RECEIVE in 136-174 MHz / 400-520 MHZ
Large knob on the top of the radio spins to turn on the radio and adjust volume.
“PTT” is the push to talk button. Push and hold this button when you want to broadcast.
“A/B” button selects between the two channels on the radio.
“VFO/MR” switches between the two main radio modes. (Frequency Mode / Channel Mode)
• When in channel mode you can only view the channels that you have saved into the radio.
• When in frequency mode you can manually type in the frequency you want to go to.
“CALL” button turns on the FM radio. Use the up and down arrows to scan the FM radio.
• You can also type in the frequency using the number pad.
• The FM radio will turn off if a signal comes through on your selected HAM station.
You can scan in both modes by pressing and holding the star button
Press and hold the # key to lock the radio.

Switching between low and high power modes
This is the amount of power used when pressing the PTT button. (1 Watt Low / 5 Watt High)
This will allow you to greatly conserve the battery when you only need short distance transmitting.
Press the menu button. Press “2” on the keypad, this should take you to the “TXP” menu heading. You can also use the up and down arrows to navigate to the “TXP” menu. Press the menu button again to select the setting. Use the up and down arrows to select between low and high power. Press menu again to confirm the action. Press exit button to exit back to standby mode. When in low power mode a small “L” will appear on the top on the screen.

Adjusting the step frequency
This is the amount the radio jumps in frequency when scanning or when pressing up or down on the arrows
Press the menu button. Press “1” on the keypad, this should take you to the “STEP” menu heading. You can also use the up and down arrows to navigate to the “STEP” menu. Press the menu button again to select the setting. Use the up and down arrows to select between 2.5k, 5k, 6.25k, 10k, 12.5k, 20k, 25k, 50k. Press menu again to confirm the action. Press exit button to exit back to standby mode.
